I'm wondering where Harry fits into the age range of the Litter Tray as he's 14.

2 cats at 11 years each
1 cat at around 6 or 7 years

bellinisurge · 21/11/2019 11:26

Why wouldn't he fit in. Lovely photo.
My first cat lived to age 19 Grin

QforCucumber · 21/11/2019 11:28

Oh isn't he lovely,

The 'kitten' is just 7, The old man we aren't really certain on but we think around 12-14, he's been with us almost 8 years and vets said they'd put him around 4 or 5 ish when we found him.

DoraChance · 21/11/2019 11:34

Gorgeous boy. My eldest is still going strong and she's almost 20.

thecatneuterer · 21/11/2019 11:45

3 months x 3
1-2 years x 4
2 - 5 years x 7
6-10 years x 8
10-15ish x 4

I had a lot of much older ones until much recently but they all died in the last year.

Winterdaysarehere · 21/11/2019 11:49

I have no idea to be honest. Got her 3 years ago, the rescue said she was 1 then. But my vet says she was definitely older than 1, but couldn't narrow it down any further than "not young, not old". I'm obviously hoping she's on the younger end of the scale though...

Winkywoop · 21/11/2019 12:00

Lovely Harry!

Mine is 12, we only got him less than a year ago.

He is wonderful so hoping he has many years left!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/11/2019 12:15

I love the picture Winterdays - if anyone else would like to post pictures it would make me very happy as you can never have too many pictures of cats!

I love that there are a few seniors around, especially Dora's girl. I worry that Harry is getting older and it's good to hear about older cats.

8, 7, 7.
All girls, I lost my boy to cancer earlier this year.

PhantomErik · 21/11/2019 12:20

3 cats here, they are 14, 15 & 16.5

Sakura7 · 21/11/2019 12:21

Sorry to hear that brillo Flowers

My girl is 18 and a half and still going strong. She does have kidney disease (which is managed with a special diet) and arthritis, but you wouldn't know it the way she leaps around the place Grin

Lellochip · 21/11/2019 12:23

Bottom was when I adopted her, top is the other day watching some TV Grin

She's gorgeous lellochip and in such good condition now, obviously well looked after :)

custardbear · 21/11/2019 12:37

This is Sunny, adopted 12 years ago and they thought he was around 18 months then ... I think he was older personally because he was a big beefy cat then, my experience is 18 months they're still in their 'teen' body - he's getting very old and slow now and his eyes are looking glassy - though he managed to hoof over a 7 foot fence and back the other day Grin we love him so much and our children see him as their older sibling ❤️🥰

Lellochip · 21/11/2019 12:53

Thanks Sakura7 she's much fluffier and fatter than she was, though still likes to chew her own fur off, we presume there's some as yet undiscovered allergy at play Sad

Lellochip · 21/11/2019 12:55

Sunny is a magnificent floof custardbear !

Keiki · 21/11/2019 13:36

2, 7 and 7ish (possibly a year or two older, a stray that stayed)

My mum has 2x 14, 1x 16ish (stray that stayed) and 1x 14-16ish (another stray that stayed).

Can you see a theme here?

MrsFruitcake · 21/11/2019 13:41

One lovely old boy of 14 and another very naughty little boy of 4 months. They like each other and the young one seems to have made the old one a bit livelier!

dementedpixie · 21/11/2019 13:42

2 x age 3

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 21/11/2019 13:43

Basil and Sybil will be nine next spring, the 'kittens' will be two next spring.
My previous generation of cats (three from the same litter) lived to be 14, 17 and 20 years.

dementedpixie · 21/11/2019 13:44

This is my 2 (age 3)

Lovely pics of gorgeous mogs.

DCat is 14 in one week's time, so close in age to Harry, OP. He is much more stately and slow these days. Likes watching squirrels and birds on cat TV (aka kitchen door window) instead of chasing them. And he presses legs with his paw to activate the lift service to be scooped up and placed anywhere high up he wants to go.

DeanImpala67 · 21/11/2019 13:53

Coming up for 13, and still doing great, not as much jumping on high things and doesn't very often go up and over the 6ft garden gate now but otherwise is still enjoying life to the full. Lovely to hear that some cats go on for nearing 20!
