Kitten Never Shuts Up!

We have had our first family kittens for seven months now, got them when they were nine week old rescues. They are hilarious little terrorists but one of them just doesn't shut up all day. He follows me around talking to me like one of the kids. When it's dinner time or he goes to sleep it's that same relief as when the kids were babies and you'd get them to sleep 😂😂😂. He is a brute now but was the runt of the litter who apparently really missed his mummy when they were rescued. Is there anything I can do to encourage him not to narrate every second to me?? He's not in any pain at all, just very talkative! I swear his brother rolls his eyes at times as he only meows if he's starving.....

It's lovely seeing their bond isn't it? Our two just got neutered a few weeks ago and the vet said to keep them apart at night so they didn't bite the wounds. We had to give up on that idea because they were yowling to each other through the door! They play fight too it's v cute but the noisy one also growls like I have never heard a cat growl !!

As Everyflight he's so cute! They really fool with their cuteness lol!

My previous cat narrated almost every moment of his life for his whole 19 years! I now find quiet cats strange... I currently have one who's quite quiet, and one who yells at me for attention but not the extent of ex-cat who just chattered constantly...... I miss him still!

I had a tortie that was a talker. She went missing once and when I rang around the vets I could hear her in the background of the one that had her. I’ve now got a beautiful kitten purrs and chirps but when she’s hungry she does this strange sound that sounds like Marg Simpson mumbling to homer! So I’ve got this beautiful diva princess that sounds like marg Simpson!

They must have been pleased to hand her back to you @ladybird69.

Cheddar went AWOL one night. But when I called her she answered me.

One of ours only talks if we're in bed. If you're in the kitchen, she'll pace in tight circles around your legs, tramping your feet, to remind you that she's never been fed in her whole life. If you're on the couch she'll sit and stare soulfully at you to let you know that she'd like to be picked up. But if we're in bed, she'll meep and chirp and mewl and all manner of other pretty little songs as she paces around the bed. She has an absolutely enormous vocabulary, but only in that one room.

The other never stops shrieking. She's a very dainty and neat little tabby with white elbow length gloves and is always elegant, with never a hair out of place, and her whites are always impeccable. Then she opens her mouth and waaaaaaAAAAAAAH - she's a fishwife. She waaahs for food. She waaahs for drink. She waaahs to go out. She waaahs to come in. She waaahs to say thank you when you let her in (at least she has good manners). She waaahs for headrubs. She waaahs for brushies. And she waaahs from morning to night for someone to come into the sitting room IMMEDIATELY and make a lap for her so she can shed and dribble all over them.

@Fluffycloudland77 yep they asked me to pick her up asap. They couldn’t believe how such a tiny cat had such a big mouth 😁

I imagine the sound was bad for business.
