As the title says my new kitten arrived this morning and she's absolutely adorable 😁 I did everything that I've read about getting a new kitten home and I've kept her in one room with her food/water, bed and litter tray and she has spent the last 10 hours hiding in the corner by the radiator Sad

I'm trying not to panic but she's only had a few pieces of dry food and no water all day.

She's come out a couple of times allowed us to stroke her (especially on her tummy) and then ran off behind the sofa 🤷‍♀️

Any other tips on what to do? I know she'll take her time to get used to us but I'm worried that she had no water all day.

What a little darling! I also have a very timid cat, she hid a lot when I first got her and I think it's important to be patient and trust that they'll come out when they're ready (and eat when you're not there lol).

You can maybe get someone to build you a catio or if you are feeling flush cat proof the garden. I love the name.
