First bonfire night

We have a big public display here that we can always hear a bit plus there will be the usual randoms of course.
Should we keep the cat in or will she do that herself?
Anything else we should do for her?
She can hold her own generally including against the bully boy ginger tom that ripped her ear. Not a nervous soul.

I'd keep her inside, you don't want her to get frightened by one and run off and get lost or get stuck because of it. She might be fine as most cats aren't phased by them. Apart from that I don't think there's anything else you can do as long as she has somewhere she can hide to feel safe like under a bed or something

She loves it under our bed or in DH wardrobe.
We don't normally have a litter tray for her so we'll dig one out.

Keep her in, curtains closed, lights on, tv or radio on to drown out the noise a bit. Ours don't seem too bothered.

Keep her in. Mine likes to sit on the windowsill and "watch the pretty bang bangs"

Definitely keep her in! Our lad can be jumpy but fireworks don't seem to bother him too much. We keep radio on in kitchen and our bedroom just at normal volume.

Our two will be called in and locked in as soon as it gets dark . It's their first GF with us so I imagine they'll find a hiding space (in DD bedroom if they get the chance)

For their first year I dosed mine up with Zylkene from the first local bangs (they started here a good week ago, they do like their fireworks here!). They were a bit startled when things got over the top locally, but by the end of the main season they were OK and by the XMas/New Year flurry they were fine.

These days they ignore them unless a particularly loud bang wakes Boycat out of his slumber, and Girlcat sometimes watches them out of the window

Definitely in so you can keep an eye on the reaction I had a neighbour's cat move in bonfire night and new years every year I even had to escort her outside to pee as they would set them off during the daytime she was literally terrified my cats could calm her

Litter tray ready, cat flap now locked, we'll be watching TV later anyway so there will be background noise.

Bit of a non event apart from her trying to get out! She spent the loudest part lying on her back on the living room floor.
Going to keep the cat flap shut till at least midnight though in case of random bangs, and repeat on Tues we think.
