Hopefully I'll get an uninterrupted nights sleep!

Did you buy it at the show?.

Toddlerteaplease · 26/10/2019 20:27

Yes. Got the pet remedy one as recommended, though I rather fancy it for myself.
Also bought. 2x fleece pads
Replacement cover for magics tipi
A gun that pops balls out. (Hoping they'll play fetch)
Treats
Toys.

She's worked out her bed smells and feels different, but can't work out why!

Forgot pic. She's a bit confused!

I got one for my elderly cat as she likes to sleep in the utility room - though she has finally accepted a cat igloo rather than a towel - and she adores it. Well, she has been looking fairly happy and is still sleeping in there, and thats about as good as it gets in terms of her happiness!

Toddlerteaplease · 26/10/2019 22:14

Had lots of quacking and rolling on her back purring from Cheddar. And Snorg has tried it too.

Did you get a full nights sleep?.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/10/2019 09:16

She wasn't too bad. The heat pad is hot so at least one of them has been sitting on it. It's weight activated. Problem with her is that she doesn't sit still and if you push her off, she thinks it's a game!

I was on nights last night. Cheddar curled up on her heat pad, and she left me alone all day!! Snorg came to be with me instead. She's never any trouble as a sleeping companion though. Result!!!

😺 Well done!.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/10/2019 15:15

She's lying on it, with that ridiculous smug smile that cats do!

What is this heat pad magic item you speak of? My cat is 20 and it's getting cold so.....

whiskersonkittenss · 29/10/2019 15:30

which heat pad did you use? I have a little old lady cat who wakes me up all night because she's cold

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 29/10/2019 15:49

We have this one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005QYNCT6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8
It has a 15 year old cat permanently glued to it. Well, she does get up to eat occasionally, but mainly she's on the pad. She loves it.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/10/2019 19:37

It's a pet remedy electric one. It can be left on all the time. But it gets very hot underneath. So I'm a bit scared to leave it unattended.

tinselvestsparklepants · 29/10/2019 23:11

Hmm. A google around has shown a non-electric one which is effectively a fleece with a foil blanket inside. DH has given quasi scientific explanation to why this works (was not listening). I have remembered we had some of that foil stuff ie we have an empty wine box innard. So, foily stuff will be washed and placed under Cat's current blanket. We will report back. Then all you'll all have to do is go and empty a wine box! You're welcome Grin

Cheddar is gorgeous but bloody hell she looks like an ex boss of mine Grin
