Missing cat - keeping the faith

My lovely boy has been missing for about 24 hours now. He’s and outdoor boy who loves his adventures but he’s always in and out every couple of hours or so and I’ve always made sure he’s in overnight. He popped in yesterday at around 2pm and then back out and I haven’t seen him since. He’s a year old, I’ve had him since he was 7 weeks due to his mother rejecting her litter so I’m very attached to him.

I’ve done all the usual stuff and I’m aware that I’m being a bit of a wet wipe as it’s only been 24 hours.

Please share your stories of a time your cat sodded off for an eternity only to wander in days later bold as brass. Basically help me keep the faith.

A friend’s cat was missing for days & turned up in the roof beams of a neighbour’s workshop - he had obviously wandered in, got scared & hid.

iirc the neighbour popped in randomly with a torch & caught his eyes in the beam. Something like that.

🤞🏻 for your lovely boy to turn up soon

HE’S HOME!!

I can’t believe it. I got a call from an elderly gentleman at about half 4 yesterday to say he was in his garden, it was difficult to understand him because the signal in my office is shocking and he was talking about his shed but I got his address and my mum went straight round and got him. He’d clearly been stuck in this man’s shed for all four days. Bloodied paws presumably from trying to scratch his way out and a very croaky meow. He’s filthy and a bit shell shocked but otherwise fine. He’s had 4 pouches of whiskas since he got home and I left him sleeping on my bed when I left for work this morning.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and stories about your cats coming home! It helped me massively knowing that this is just a thing they do sometimes!!

However relieved you are, imagine his relief, poor lamb!

I hope he's grounded until he learns the error of his ways!

Oh bless him. I’m so glad he’s home. Mine has form for getting stuck in garages and empty houses. Confused

Lindy2 · 24/10/2019 09:16

I'm so glad he's home.
Poor little love. He will be so happy to be safely back with you.
