Flea treatment and scratching?

So somehow my beautiful indoor cats have caught fleas!! Two cats that never go out I have only found one flea,& just a little dirt. But both have now been treated with a spot on treatment and I have hoovered everywhere, mopped with boiling water and sprayed with a aerosol from the vet.

What else can I do? I am slightly freaking out at the thought of fleas in my house. First time in ten years!

Also will the cats scratch for a day or two after if the flea(s) are gone but itchy?

That should be fine. I'm sure they'll stop scratching soon. Even indoor cats should be flea treated. I don't understand how they catch them, but they do.

Thanks for replying. The reassurance helps.
