We rescued a 3 yo cat from a shelter 3 weeks ago. At the time I asked if the cat had a preference with food/brand and was told no. Since she has been home I can't think of a time that she has ate a full pouch of food. I have tried different wet foods, chunks in jelly and gravy, different brands but she does not entertain any of them, she also doesn't eat much dry food which is always available for her. She eats tuna and ham but I don't want her having this every day. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to encourage our moggy to eat?

I do wonder whether it is related to stress from being rehomed, but she has really come out of her shell in the last 3 weeks and happily sits with us, wanders about the house etc.

She may just be a bit of a grazer when it comes to food. Mine have ad lib dry then get a pouch of wet between them at night & half a pouch between them in the morning. They will dive on the wet like they are starving, but only eat about a third of it when I first put it down. But if I leave it out, it's mostly finished up when I get in after work or up in the mornings.

So they are happily eating it, just in small snacking sessions.
