Where should the kitten sleep?

Hello! Today we brought home our brand new kitten. She is truly beautiful and is going to be very loved. We’ve never had a cat before but want to do everything right.
I just wondered where you would advise she sleep? I assumed I’d put her downstairs in the dining room but she is so tiny! Will she cry? Does she need to be in my room? Help wise people!

I really wouldn't bother with an actual cat bed! Mine have always slept in boxes, washing baskets, bags, suitcases, cupboards, drawers, now the pram if I don't keep an eye on them but I'll be damned if they'll go anywhere near a purchased cat bed.

Apart from one occasion when I bought one for the two of them to share, the boy cat spent four days sprawled across it non stop refusing to let his sister in until I finally went to get a second one for her.

Neither of them ever went anywhere near either bed again.

Mog slept in our bed last night. Decided playtime was at 2am! How lovely to wake up with her. She’s now in DD’s bed. I’m not sure why we’ve only just got one!

Does she have any litter mates still needing homes? Kittens are definitely better in pairs!
My cats are the exception to the rule. They do use their beds.

My kitten sleeps in the kitchen on a kitchen chair. When he's a bit older he will probably be allowed to sleep on my bed.

Do get another while they are still small :)

Aww. One day she'll fill that bed, and you'll not believe she was so tiny. Def get another. Double the cuteness and they will entertain each other.
