It's so miserable but he's 20% overweight according to the vet Sad

He's so grumpy and irritable and just annoying everyone in the house. Please tell me that this will end???

Mine got better given up after a week of no treats nothinv except his diet food. He became more active around 2 weeks in.
We just cuddled the shit out of him. Lots of love ans attention, distraction..he is fine now, 5 weeks later. Lost some weight but still tubby Grin

Mine dragged home two joints of pork and a joint of beef before I gave up on his diet the vet suggested low fat biscuits to fill him up

This gives me hope, it's been 4 days so far and everyone is suffering! Hopefully in 2 weeks he gets better.

Luckily for us our cat is very picky with food so no dragging random joints of meat!

He killed his first mouse on the diet food and hes been with us for 2 years..never killes anything.
He started eating moths too. I dont know if its hunger or being lighter making him move and hunt more...

One of mine went on a diet and learned how to open the kitchen cupboard before the day was out! She was on expensive specialist diet cat food, obsessively weighed out, and she still put on weight. I don't think she was catching anything outside as her previous catches had all been live butterflies. She now gets the same as my other cats, weighed out for a cat 2kg lighter. She still doesn't look like she has lost much ☹️
