Cats Birthday Party (4 years old)

My kid is 4 and a half and my cat is about to turn 4 too. Kid would like to throw a "birthday party" for the cat, can anyone think of any fun ideas that the cat might actually enjoy at all?

I'm thinking of a picnic on the floor with toy plates etc, real milk for us and the cat milk stuff I've seen in Tesco for the cat.

Do those individual pots of expensive cat food (Sheba?) stay solid like jelly so I could maybe stick candles in it?

Any other suggestions? No idea too daft...

Here's a link to the thread where I got the cat, which has some photos www.mumsnet.com/Talk/the_litter_tray/3452267-Name-this-cat-please?pg=1

I wouldn't bother with the candle.... my cats hate them.

You could decorate the upturned tray of food (jelly or pate type) with dreamies.

Pass the parcel with a dreamie in each layer.

Unwrapping of cat gifts.

Birthday cardboard box ( always the best gift)

Get high on cat nip.

Watch videos on you tube of fish/birds/rodents.

Webbox stick for cat, twiglets for us

Dreamies for cat, some sort of mini cracker things for us

Games:

Chase the thing, stop when the music stops

Moving disco lights of some sort

Pass the parcel, alternate layers having a cat treat and a human treat

Just re read your original thread. After reading that, this thread has absolutely made my day! What a wonderful way to celebrate a previously abandoned cat. Grin

We had fun! I found discounted ham sandwiches in Tescos and catface enjoyed eating the ham out of the middle, joined in the party picnic, unwrapped presents and rolled around in catnip. The "cake" was a small tub of posh cat food with Mr Kipling slices either side. Happy birthday Mortimer! Grin

Happy birthday to Mortimer! Did he have some crisps? One of ours loves them.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/09/2019 13:03

OP - this is the most endearingly bonkers thread I have ever seen on mumsnet.
Happy birthday Mortimer Grin.

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 19/09/2019 14:35

He didn't have any crisps, and I forgot to serve him olives which he's CRAZY about. Will remember for next year! Grin
