Work of the devil - TABLETS 😈😈😈

I know cats are willing to eat anything mice, frogs, flys and spiders to name a few but tablets - nope !
When I have to get one down the cat, this is my (mostly ) successful way.
Buy one of those thin, long treats, get a skewer and bore a hole down the middle and squeeze it shut. Then break off a bit down from the other end to give to cat, then offer up your tasty morsel so cat can unwittingly take tablet.
What's your way of doing it ?

Pate, or soft tinned meat like spam.

idiotcat just takes them, put them on his food, he crunches them up with obvious enjoyment for the surprise.

His sister however is no such idiot, and we have to sneak about the house with pills concealed about our person to find her asleep, tiptoe in, open her mouth and hurl the tablet in, and beat a hasty retreat before she kills us dead.
We won't take about the eye drop debacle, we all still bear the scars. Physical and emotional.

I was lucky with o'Malley as he would take an antibiotic out of my hand that is until he was getting better. I would have to hold him between my legs to pop a pill in. No scramming or biting though.

Troy was on a few tablets for his heart condition and again I held him between my legs. No resistance either but I had discovered lick-e-lix by then and he always had that or kitty crack (meat sticks) as a treat. As he was so ill I indulged him.

We use something called pill putty - you wrap it round the tablet, put it down with a couple of dreamies and the cat eats it

I give my cat 6 tablets a day and it is amazing. I couldn't cope without it

I kneel down and have the cat stuck between my legs. Fingers in either side of the cat's mouth and pop the tablet down the throat and rub neck to force swallowing. I was a kid and the only one who had the pill knack with my grannie's vicious devil cat.
She would not be fooled. At all. She would instantly know there was a pill in something and would eat around it and spit the pill out. They tried every food known to mankind I reckon.

The late Fatty was on 8 pills a day towards the end of her life. (Heart disease) I used to put them in a pill popper thing. And give them in one go. She was brilliant with them. If she spat the out, it was because she'd not been able to swallow it first time. She never ever deliberately spat them out. She was an absolute superstar. The cat sitter and the cattery also had no problem with her.

Crushed into cat yoghurt treats. Works a treat
