Help with new home

Hi

We have to let MIL look after our beautiful cat as we are overseas for 6mths-1yr at end of month.

I feel at sad at leaving her.

Any tips to help her settle at MIL?
I am worried she will try and walk back to our old home.

How far does she live?

You/she should follow the same advice as you would when getting a new cat. Keep strictly indoors for the first month at least before allowing out.

Thanks for reply. She is about a mile from us currently. I thought it was 2 weeks? Ok she will hate being kept in but guess it's for the best.
