If it's not a UTI what is it?

On Wednesday the cat had brown wee and was fussing over it. She had been a bit mope-y for a few days but otherwise fine. She gets a lot of UTIs and cystitis but wasn't showing her normal behaviour when she has them plus her wee normally has bright red in it, rather than old blood. However vet said UTI and prescribed kesium and meloxidyl. Normally this works quite quickly but it isn't this time.

A few days ago she started being sick several times a day and didn't eat anything yesterday. This morning she tried her breakfast, was sick immediately and has left the rest of her food with no interest in it. The meds don't normally make her this sick.

I'm not sure if she's drinking so I've just given her some very, very diluted tuna water. She showed a lot if enthusiasm for that! So far she's keeping that down.

She's pooing and weeing as usual, no pain or straining but her wee is still dark. I'm not sure if it still has blood or if she's getting dehydrated. She doesn't seem to have any sore spots and still wants fussing/company.

As long as she's using her litter and having the tuna water, it doesn't seem an emergency so we'll take her to the vet again tomorrow. Another £100. Sigh.

Any suggestions on how to help her keep her food down or reduce her being sick? Or alternative suggestions to ask about as I'm not convinced it's a UTI.

She's a house cat, about 5 years old we think and a moggy and has probably paid for the vets holiday this year.

I think I'd be going back to the vets and asking for blood tests.
