Celebrating no more litter trays...

Our 2 year old hasn't been using his litter trays for several months, preferring to go outside and fertilise our grape vine!
Over the summer he has reinvented the clean, idle litter trays - as a place to sleep
With the installation of our new cat flap the litter trays have finally been turfed into the loft.

A small, but significant celebration in my little world.

You do realise now you've posted that, that the cat may suddenly want the litter tray back, don't you?

Don’t get excited, when the poor weather comes he will deffo want an inside toilet again.

Our cat uses the tray once every six months or so, but we keep it (actually two, in two different places) just in case. Last night she was sick, but smartly went into the bathroom and the tiled floor.

I keep our litter trays, in the hope of reducing poo annoyance to neighbours, & it’s noticeable how much more they’re used in cold wet weather. (I wouldn’t want to have to go outside in the rain for a wee or a poo either )

So your cat might prefer to still have one in the winter, OP

I’m sure I saw a waterproof outdoor one recently, if you really don’t want one indoors. I’ll see if I can find it.

It will change in the cold weather, you’ll find your first puddle.

No matter how vile the weather only one of 4 of our cats would ever choose to use the litter tray if they could access outside.
