Kitten panting

So after weeks of my kitten trying to escape at every opportunity I have finally plucked up the courage to let her outside today. Only she has came back in and I have noticed she looks as though she is panting with her mouth open. She only does it for a few seconds but that's 3 times I've noticed her doing it. In fact whilst writing this she is doing it again but making a noise at the same time.

She is also trying to catch a fly so can't work out if her mouth is open because of this or if something is wrong. I can see from looking at her that she's breathing very quickly and I'm getting a bit worried that she may have been poisoned or something.

Please can anyone out my mind at rest? I've had a quick Google but thought I'd get much more knowledgeable advice here.

Some panting can be normal after really high activity play but it doesn't last long.

If you're concerned about her breathing, of course check with a vet.

When you say kitten, how old is she? Has she been neutered?

Thanks for replying her breathing calmed down a short while after writing this post I am hoping it was just because she had been jumping around trying to catch flies.

She's 8 months old and has been neutered.

Take her to a vet.
