Is it normal for cat to lose claw?

I just found one of my cats claw nails on the floor. She's acting normal and no blood. It looks like it came off when using the scratch post. Is this normal?

Cats shed their claws (similar to how we lose and replace hair). It's totally normal to find shed claws.

Yes it is. Although you may want to attach a pic just in case I’m misunderstanding.

I used to find the odd claw and various whiskers here and there with my old cat.

It's more than likely the claw sheath (the outer layer) and not the actual whole claw. Completely normal if not a little disconcerting the first time you see it!Grin

Thanks. It did look like the outside of it so probably completely normal as she's walking fine, no blood etc hasn't cried or anything like that.
