Boycat and his new 'walk'

Two year old boy has suddenly started walking differently. He's very lanky/gangly and has always looked like a dressage horse when he runs/trots (legs flicking out all over the place). This week he's taken to strutting mincing around doing a 'sexy' walk and looking very pleased with himself; he resembles Naomi Campbell on the catwalk

It's like he woke up one day and had a Joey Tribbiani lightbulb moment 'I think I need a new walk? 🤔

My cat bum wiggles when he runs. It's a very self important run he does when he's coming in to tell me all the news from outside

Aw one of my cats does that bum wiggle run when imparting her daily findings. She also shouts ‘meep meep’ to let us know she has news.

She has a little angry foot stomp when she needs food NOW too.

one of mine has such muscly legs he reminds me of Arnie - he stomps along. The other is incredibly long-legged and looks like a cheetah. They are brothers but have very different body types.

Cats' body language is fascinating isn't it? And their verbal/non verbal communication. My old girlcat used to greet me with a very specific 'Where have you BEEN?' tirade every day when I got home from work 😾

Definally getting better with the non verbal - it's very subtle but it feels like there is a lot there to pick up on. I like just watching my two interact with each other as they are still very close. Both have really different personalities and slow blinks and head bumps don't always work at the same time on each cat if that makes any sense! They must think I'm mad.....

They sound lovely Minkies, I've never had sibling kitties so must be interesting watching them together.

I have siblings and they hate each other.

Both of them get on way better with my cat that’s not related to them (but that’s because she’s an angel who gets on with everyone and everything).

I think it’s mainly because one of my cats has no sense of humour whatsoever, she doesn’t do ‘playing’ and if another one of my cats instigates a game with her she’ll not hold back at all.
She wants to play but just doesn’t understand how the games work, her version of playing is to jump on the other ones head whilst they are fast asleep.

My other two play together all the time though.

I think it’s about personality rather than if they’re related.

furry that made me laugh; my old girl was exactly the same with no sense of humour and didn't understand 'play'. She'd attempt to join in with the younger ones but have a hissy fit and storm off if one of them playfully pounced on her. If she was a human she'd have been logging all that nonsense with 101

My boy cat was wiggling away stalking something in the bushes yesterday - he dived in and there was a bit of a commotion and then his sister ran out, hissing away, with him on top of her. I grabbed him and the little git was purring away - all pleased he'd caught something!

My other two have a cracking sense of humour but little miss serious is a literal sour puss.
