New kitten fleas

Our new kitten we've had 2 days has fleas. The previous owner claimed to have flead and wormed them but clearly hadn't as we found fleas on him on day 1.

Taken to the vets today for first vaccs and he's been treated with Broadline but he's still (if not more) extremely itchy. We have to leave the treatment on for a little while before bathing him.

When will he stop being so itchy? he's the tiniest little thing ever and I feel so bad for him.

How old is he? You shouldn't bathe at all if treated with a flea treatment. You can of course comb with a flea comb. It's easy to overdose kittens so if he is already being seen by a vet you need to be guided by him or her. Kitten Stronghold works well, but the kittens need to be at least six weeks old I think (or is it 8?) and of course you can't use that if you have recently used another product. So for now use a flea comb and then speak to your vet.

My 2 were riddled
I was furious
We got a kitten spray from vet and combed it through however often it was needed
Had to treat the whole house too
I feel your pain and hope you get rid of them quickly. Took us months for them to be totally flea free and cost a fortune .
