Could you recommend pet insurance?

It’s for a rescue kitten which will be 9 weeks old when he comes to us. The Petplan ones I’m looking at are ‘lifetime’ ones covering either 4K, 7k or 12k a year. Which is likely to be appropriate do you think? He will be an outdoor cat. Mixed breed as far as the rescuers know.

We have used petplan since our dog had his first jags and would recommend it. I think it's the middle coverage we have. He has used it 3 times since getting it and so grateful it's been there instead of trying to find such an amount of money in an emergency. Been happy with our middle cover, quick reply when we've sent in any claims, no issues and we will continue with them.

Petplan, middle rate. They are fast, don’t quibble and well regarded by the vets round here. Last cat had numerous very expensive kidney/thyroid treatments that gave him a longer, happier life. Plus one surgery as a result of a dog bite.

Brilliant - thank you so much :)

I've got Tesco top level cover. It's more than paid for itself. I've had £16000 of claims in two years!

I have the £7k cover with Petplan as well for all my four cats.

They were always good with my previous cat, never had a claim refused.
