Help - cat spray smell

Argh! Next door's cat has been in and sprayed my bed headboard (cloth covered) and it bloody stinks!!

I've tried to wipe it off and sprayed it with white vinegar but it is still really strong.

I love the little bastard usually, he has mooched round my house loads of times but never sprayed before although sprays the garden all the time which is fine of course.

Any ideas appreciated, a quick google has suggested buying expensive stuff or 'household' things which I don't have, and I've got to sleep next to it tonight!

Enzyme cleaners get rid of the smell. You can get them at pet stores.

You can get the specialist product from Amazon, Ocado or petshops. They all work quite well.
You can also make your own enzyme cleaner by mixing one part of any biological water detergent with six parts water.
One of my cats has a spraying issue so I do this option because it works out cheaper.
I also purchased on Amazon a black light torch which shows clearly where the spraying happened, even if it is dried. It helps making sure all the residue is gone.

Not water detergent, but laundry detergent.
