Anyone use IAMs dry?

I’m in Sainsbury’s and I’m being a bad last minute servant. I should never have had the cheek to work overtime for Glastonbury cider money this week and forget my Zooplus order. Anyway it says it’s wheat free and 88% animal protein. Crumbs I’m leaving them with a stranger as well.....

Yes, we do. But I don't know what you're asking. Grin

Is it any good? I never usually buy dry from the supermarkets I usually get it from Zooplus. If I’d have known IAMs was wheat free all this time I’d have used it ages ago! There’s all different types.....

Yes I do. It's the only thing that doesn't make Cheddar projectile vomit. They eat it with no issues. However it's not as good for my long haired Persians coat as the Royal canon Persian she used to have. So I give them extra salmon oil.

Yes, I'm a vet if that makes any odds. It's a good quality food and my cat looks well on it.

Sainsbury's complete is quite good and grain free. Also very cheap, unfortunately my two won't eat it!

EachandEveryone · 22/06/2019 16:07

No mine won’t eat it either! Even the strays outside eat it begrudgingly

I buy IAMS for my dogs.

dementedpixie · 22/06/2019 16:18

Encore dry from Asda is 80% meat and grain free

dementedpixie · 22/06/2019 16:22

It's not saying there is 88% meat in it but that 88% of the protein is from animal sources rather than plant sources. It has less than 50% meat

Bluerussian · 22/06/2019 16:24

I've tried it but my cats don't like it so leave it.
James Wellbeloved and Hill's Science Plan dried cat food are their favourites.

Mine loved royal canin. But it makes cheddar turn into the exorcist.

TastingTheRainbow · 22/06/2019 18:17

It’s less than 50% meat and FULL of grains that cats can’t digest, not the worst food but far from the best also.
