That bloody cat !
Always up to no good .
She came running in ,through the bedroom window onto our bed, with a rat in her mouth Shock
I jumped up ,DH screeched at her ,she ran down the stairs & off out through the back door .

I've no idea where she's gone,I've been up & down the lane but no sign of her .

On the plus side she took the rat with her. Could be worse. You could have a rat and no cat.

Omg I'd have to burn the house down!

WatcherOfTheNight · 14/06/2019 18:47

She came back at 5.20 with it still in her mouth.
She sat sopping wet at the back door, in the pouring rain, attempting a pitiful meow out of corner of her rat filled mouth and tapped the glass with her paw .
Then ran off when we gagged decided to open the door .

I know she loves me ,I don't need gifts with tails Sad

I'm going to have to rescue it aren't I ?
I hate rats ,I'm not worried about many things ,but rats ...eewww

Garth no ,in those circumstances,DH would have a rat, but he'd have no DW or cat !

The rat probably won't be rescueable at this stage.

She'll learn that she doesn't bring live prey home. There's usually a scramble in this house to lock the cat flap when a cat appears with an animal it's mouth. We are deaf to all entreaties to let them in until they are empty mouthed.

I had to check your user name op as I thought I'd written it! Grin

Pusspuss brought us a thankfully dead rat in during the night a few weeks ago.
We sleep on the ground floor and had our bedroom window open so puss could let himself in and out. I was sound asleep and dh had his earphones in while he watched something on YouTube. He said their was a lull in the video when he heard the familiar thud of the cat jumping down off the windowsill when all of a sudden he heard the door crashing open and a load of commotion he thought we were being burgled but it was the cat playing football with the dead rat. I just remember dh saying the cats brought a rat in and my eyes were wide open!
