Older cat won’t leave me alone

We have a lovely 15 year old tortie. She has been at the vet a few times recently with ear infections and is being treated£ for hyperthyroidism.
She had seemed a bit better recently.
I was away for the weekend. My ds 1 and 2 looked after her - sh3 loves them. Since I came home however she is on my lap every time I sit down. She normally does this for 10 minutes in the morning but never to this level before.
I wonder if she is a bit more insecure than usual when I’m not around cos she’s older and not as welll as usual. Does anyone else have any experience of this

She probably missed you and is very happy you are home. If she's also been off colour she's probably needing extra reassurance and affection. I love older cats, they have such fab personalities. My last cat made 23 and loved cuddles but would then find a quiet place and sleep for hours.
