Watery eye?

My cat seems to get sleep in the corner of her eyes. It's not excessive and she seems fine. Is it just sleep? I've been wiping it when I see it. I'm new to owning her and it has been years since I had one before her so want to make sure I'm getting it right

It’s just sleep, all of mine have had it.

They can clean it out themselves but it comes back.

My cat gets a watery eye and I recently took him to the vet for a look. Nothing to worry about unless the discharge is coloured and/or the eye is cloudy.

My Persians always have this. I've got artist ears for Snorg if it's really bad.

Ive just been to the vets with one of mine as he had an eye that was watering on and off. When the vet checked he found the conjunctiva red and sore and the lower lid puffy. He put dye in to check for an ulcer which was clear, so he is now on antibiotic and steroid drops. His discharge was clear and intermittent, so I was pleased I'd taken him as I didnt think it was infected. They do get sleep in the corners normally though.
