Worried about my cat

long story but she was attacked last week and had to be rushed to the vet yesterday and she had an infected abscess which was missed by the first vet. she is now on antibiotics and seems better today but she hasn't wee'd or poo'd for over 24 hours. should i be worried?

she is eating and seems alert.

what should i do? !

Unless the abscess was somewhere near her bottom then I can't see how it could be related. Cats can hold on for a very long time when they're stressed - newly homed cats often don't wee or poo for at least three days - and she's not male when blocked bladders can be a worry. So to sum up, I don't think you should worry if she is eating and seems bright.

Thank you. I ended up taking her to the vets yesterday where they found another abscess, it was another infected bite from her fight. she has actually peed now which i am so relieved about! She seems to much better today!
