Stray cat trying to move in!

He appeared about 6 weeks ago.
I routinely put left over cat food outside the front door for waifs, strays and chancers (and the fox) and suddenly here he was... quite healthy looking but genuinely very hungry..wolfing down food and yelling at me for more. Needless to say he gets it.
Between me, Thelma (my Obie's OW) and Debbie two doors down, he won't starve. He is sleeping in Debbie's shed (she has a cat flap for strays) and spends most of his day outside my front door curled up under a bush.
At first I gave him food but discouraged any interaction (my DS2 who has autism would have him in his bed by now!) but gradually I couldn't help myself.. quick stroke etc. Initially he was terrified but now comes and rubs against me and purrs.
I'm trying to catch him to get him to the vets for a microchip check but he dashes off after a few seconds. We THINK he could possibly be the last remaining cat of the awful family that absconded from their rented house a few months back...I posted here. The female and kitten were rescued by Blue Cross and rehomed but we knew there was a third somewhere. He is un neutered and looks like the kitten's dad....

I have posted pics of him on my 'spotted' local FB page in case an owner comes forward.

I CANNOT take him in. Ophie hates all cats and most people, and Obie has had several punch ups with him. If I can get him checked and he isn't chipped maybe Blue Cross will take him, but otherwise I'm not sure what to do. I'd really quite like to have him as he is cute,,,

Do try and get him chip checked, Cats Protection do very low cost or free neuter in certain areas, maybe if he's neutered your girl might take more kindly to him.

Sadly she hates everyone except my DD2 and her boyfriend (lives with us) who has bribes her with Dreamies and a fleece bedding set! She used to love me til DD2 moved back home!
She is the ultimate diva cat..hisses at her brother so I really don't think she'd have grey boy here. But if I can get him checked and neutered I will!
