Cat trees

Do you any of you have good cat trees? Ours is medium height but very boring. Want something taller but not so gargantuan it becomes a feature in our lounge!

ZooPlus has some good, reasonably priced ones.

I was going to recommend ours but it definitely is a feature in the lounge. Grin

We have a medium height one. It has a perch, an upper basket, and a lower basket under the perch. The cats like it and will sometimes dispute over who gets the top basket, although usually they take turns.

They have in fact "liked" it so much that we need to get a new one. It is becoming somewhat ratty.

Mine have this from Kalven. They love it!

Love the Kalven but seriously how much for a cat tree?! Zooplus doesn't have a huge selection. Ours is medium height with 2 sleeping areas. Both cats fight about who gets the top bunk and it needs to be a bit higher. Will keep looking!

Cattree.uk had the best selection I could find

Make one? If you have basic DIY skills it's not too hard.

Carpet shops might give you off cuts/old samples or you can probably buy them cheap.

QueenOfIce · 13/05/2019 20:20

I could actually have a go at making one! I've seen a flower one that's quite nice but again it's a bit of a feature.

How about two trees and they get a top bunk each?.

Toddlerteaplease · 13/05/2019 20:43

The kalven ones are made of solid wood and the parts are replaceable. That's why they cost more.

theemmadilemma · 14/05/2019 18:30

I would give making it a go. I don't doubt you could do something creative and great for half the price if you hunt around for bit.

I've just made an outside cat ladder with planks from a local skip taken with permission and £14 of trellis and £5 of brackets.

mollpop · 16/05/2019 18:41

I bought a really nice, reasonably priced one on the Pet Planet website.

My cat was more interested in the cardboard box it arrived in, but that's not the fault of the cat tree Smile

Kittekats · 16/05/2019 19:50

I have just bought this one but not yet assembled. There are loads of different options available and all seem a lot cheaper than pets at home etc.

I just got mine this RHR Quality one. They both love it, i fully expected them to ignore it for 6 months but they were on it straight away. They do replacement parts as well.

QueenOfIce · 16/05/2019 21:19

Crap I just ordered the large flower one as it has plenty of beds but I really like yours Spam!

I like yours too Kitte but I know they'd not use the box part, are yours enjoying it?

I don’t know yet Queen, it is this weekends task to build it!
