Is it warm enough for a cat to be in the conservatory over night this time of year ?

He keeps me awake all night. Jumping on my head etc. I’m utterly exhausted. I don’t have a way to keep him in another part of the house other than shutting the door to the conservatory.

Obviously I have not done this during the winter time. But what about this time of year? The cat flap is in there so he goes in and out that way.

He is 11. And had him for a little while.

I have an electronic thermometer that tells the high and low temperature over the last 12 hours.

I think for a cat as long as it’s above about 14 degrees it should be fine.

You could get one of those micro pad things - they stay warm for about 12 hours and he can snuggle up against it. And an igloo bed keeps the heat in.

I have tried all the heater things and he will not go in an igloo house. He likes to sleep on the computer chair in there.

Can you shut the bedroom door. Can you push the computer chair up against a wall and put a folded up blanket on it that he can crawl inside of he is chilly.

I tried shutting the bedroom door. He just scratches and scratches. Also. I have the window open every night. And that makes the door bang constantly.

I do feel mean but I am a light sleeper and I am not getting any sleep at all. I’m so tired.

Ours is locked in the kitchen. We turned the door handle so he can’t want it all night.

He has a dog bed with a cover, cats love dog beds.

As someone said above get a cat heating pad they stay warm all night

If he likes the chair, just lay a light blanket over the back and arms to create a temporary igloo. It's amazing how much heat they put out - even if you leave the front - the chair-gloo will warm up nicely.
