We added dkitten to our family 2 months ago. Dcat was initially a bit wary and we had a few weeks of hissing and growling and then last night I found them like this. Overnight kitten has also been looking for dcat - I heard her going from room to room chirping like she was calling her name Smile

Cuties!

It takes time. Biggie has always been friendly with adult cats, although in fairness all the adults he met were females. When we brought Gatsby home (a 2-month-old kitten), Biggie initially had a "WTF is THIS?" look. Jayda decided from the start that she liked Gatsby and mothered him. Biggie eventually warmed up once he realized he wasn't being replaced Grin

Jayda didn't like Biggie initially but she came around.

I know that look! When we brought dkitten home I put her down in the carrier to judge dcat’s reaction. She sniffed around the carrier and when she saw that there was something in there - the look on her face Grin

I did that with Cheddar when she arrived. Snorg sniffer round her and I saw her visibly relax. They don't sleep together yet. But Smith is very protective and we have lots of nose rubbing.
