Clingy kitty

My ex feral is coming up to 17 and she is soooo clingy, I literally cannot do anything at home without having her make me fall over, following me everywhere making a row miaowing at me or sitting on the keyboard.
She also asks for food every single time I go into the kitchen.
Now I adore kitty she's lovely and she's had lots of health problems and dental work done over the last few years but has come through it all very well and I cuddle her as much as I can but unless she is actually sitting on me, looking into my face with her paw on my arm she isn't happy.
This morning I almost lawnmowered her as she kept running about in front of it to try and get to me.
I know she isn't in pain, she has monthly vet appointments, she eats organic high quality food and has loads of cuddles.
Is there anything I can do to make her feel a bit more secure? The feliway didn't work. i am thinking at this rate I'll have to get a baby sling and take her everywhere - actually she'd love that Smile

We'll be moving soon to another county out of necessity for work and I'm dreading it, she's going to be even more insecure.

Try pet remedy. I found it much more effective than feliway with my anxious cat. Zyklene is also very good.

Will do thanks.

Go for the baby sling - I did in desperation for my very needy siamese and he absolutely loves it!

There goes my reputation as sane around the neighbourhood.

She very pretty girl!

Some cats are naturally more needy than others. Biggie practically worships Daddy, for example. Though he has learned that he needs to ask nicely to go on Daddy's lap and that right when Daddy wakes up is not a good time to ask Grin

Envy I want a cat sling

RaisinRainbow · 26/04/2019 17:15

Sign me up for a cat sling too!
You actually can buy jumpers that have cat carrying pouches

I would love it if my Maine Coon duchess would consent, notwithstanding it would be back breaking!
