Cat sleeping stretched out

My cat's about six years old, been with me two years. Recently I've noticed he's tending to sleep stretched out with his chin on whatever he's lying on (sofa, bed etc). Is it just that he is comfortable like this because he's been on a diet and has lost weight, or is there something else going on, do you think?

Thanks everyone. I'd love to take a photo but he's asleep (surprise) and I don't want to disturb him because if I do he will go straight into 'feed me now' mode

😂❤️ Mia is so cute! I used to have a black cat with fangs just like that ☺️

Mine likes to make sure he doesn't need to share the window

Allergictoironing

Our Biggie is similar. The only difference is that when it comes to his people he has a very long attention span - especially for his Daddy. We don't think Biggie would last a day outside by himself either.
