I often see people referring to cats as being solitary creatures. My cats have loved my neighbour’s cat since the day they met him over 5 years ago. I just went into the garden to be met with this lovely scene! My cats are the gingers, Archie and Angus. The tabby is their friend Hamish!

Snore cat has made friends with next doors cat. They call for each other and run off and play. It’s so sweet. Snore cat seems to love the cat company. They run in the fields together and sit side by side. We tired to keep snorecat in because he hurt himself and needed his cut to heal. But NDN cat was crying through the windows. Peering in, and snore cat was desperate to get to him, so I had to let him out.

What beautiful boys 😻😻 Were they the ones who were scared to go out of the cat flap because of a scary female cat outside?

My boy had a ginger bff; they used to play hide and seek, chase each other around and climb trees together. Ginger dude used to wait for my boy at the front door every morning so they could go out and play, it was a proper bromance even though I knew he was leading my dopey boy astray 😹

Unfortunately GD has vanished, no idea what happened to him 😿

HelmetFrontbut Wow - you have a great memory! Yes, they were petrified of the tiny female cat who lived on the other side of us.
I say “were” because she is now virtually living with us!

I can’t go into too much detail as don’t want to out myself but tiny cat was outside a lot during the winter and was freezing. I couldn’t bear it any longer and I let her in and she has spent most of the winter sprawled out in front of our fire! We have spoken to neighbours so they know where she is.

My boys seem much braver in their own house and I think they would actually make friends with her if she would let them but she’s a bit sparky and does give them a swipe when they get close enough to give her a sniff! But we are all managing to get along with no major injuries so far!

Icequeen it was such a cute photo of your boys staring at the cat flap! So glad to hear you've taken in the little girlcat and that she's being cared for and loved now 💓
