So. My cat who I have been looking after for two years but only just signed over to me has never been vaccinated. He is 11.

  1. Is it worth vaccinating him now or just leave him as he is.
  1. If I go to the vets and have his flea and worming done. Will they be able to do it longer than the stuff I can get over the counter. He will not take tablets so really struggling. Will the vets be able to give him something that makes the time in between longer.

Has he really never been vaccinated, even as a kitten? Has he ever been to the vet at all for a health check?

The only effective flea treatments are from the vet's - most are monthly spot-on treatments you apply to the back of the neck. You can also get a spot on for worming, or there are some worming tablets that are palatable (Milbemax at least has a "tasty" option). You can also buy pill pocket treats that make giving pills easier. Worming tablets usually need to be given quarterly.

I give a monthly flea treatment (stronghold plus - also covers some worms) and a wormer every 6 months (profender). They are both spot on treatments

@dementedpixie do u have a link to the wormer.

As far as I know he has never been vaccinated. So wasn’t sure if I should start now.

I get both from the vet. They are prescription treatments
