Cheddar as a therapy cat.

There was an appeal in the local paper asking if anyone liked bring a cat into hospital as their mum really wanted to stroke a cat again. (Family felt her own cat would not tolerate this) think they've got someone now. But the ladies daughter encouraged me to register cheddar with the palliative care unit. For future patients. Apparently they have loads of dogs but few cats.
I wanted to register her with Pets as therapy, but they have very strict rules and I think she'd be ruled out as she kneads. (Claws kept short)

I've left a message with the unit. Hope she can help someone. Shes such a special little personality.

Ashycat now always meows like she's lost £20 and found a pound coin... and she dribbles. A little old lady covered in kitty spit. Lovely. Possibly not the best way to go.

Yes. That's the one. The lady's daughter has been in contact and knows Cheddar is available. If she thinks it would be beneficial to her. I have left a message to register her as a possible visitor with the unit. Cheddar is the right personality for it.

I didn’t realise ( stupidly!) cats could be pets as therapy pets. My little Burmese would be prefect for it - I think I will look to sign him up once he is 9 months.

Yeah, put Cheddar on the firm for the job - she'll do very nicely.

She is so sweet and looks so happy! If I had more time (I work full-time) I would love to have our Biggie registered and trained as a therapy cat. He loves people and attention. Obligatory photo attached.
