This week we have lost one of our beloved cats. Bold Toffee cat was run over, we only got her in December from our local shelter but we loved her very much and it has been a massive blow. Still trying to get my head around it really.

Anyway we have Luna still aka "scaredy cat" she doesn't want to go out and she has lost her playmate so we want to get her a nice big climbing scratching tower with levels and dangly bits the works. Has anyone got recommendations for a good one as I find cat toys and equipment vary hugely in quality. Of course whatever we get may well be ignored in favour of batting around a crumpled sweet wrapper and climbing the curtains. But Luna is a sweet playful cat (1 in May) and we want to treat her. Thank you.

Kalven. Expensive but very high quality and each piece is replaceable. So it will last years.

What is your budget?

As you say, they vary hugely in quality and price. We have several around the house (and 4 cats who love them!).

I would recommend this one from ZooPlus as a good quality option at a reasonable price. We've had it for over a year now and it's still fine even in heavy use (although in a few areas the fabric has come off the surface a tiny bit).

We also have a huge one from RHR Quality (bought on Cattree.uk) - it's so sturdy I'm sure it will last for the next 10 years! My cats mostly use it for sleeping on.

And finally we have one from Kalven, theirs are fully customizable as they're made to order so we got it in a nice colour. It also feels very strong and will probably last for years and years. But it was expensive.

I have this one they never use the hammock and go through phases of sleeping in the top. They use the scratcher post sides

So sorry to hear you’ve lost beloved Bold Toffee🌸🌼🌺🌿🌿

Sorry for your lossFlowers We got a brand new cat tree from our local Facebook selling pages at literally a quarter of the retail price, so we weren't too fussed about quality or longevity. Until you get one, get some cardboard boxes & cut various size holes for exploring. Our study was a cardboard city for cats at one point!
