Harry has gone a year without a visit to the vet, other than for his jabs - I can't remember the last time that happened! Petplan must be really pleased!

Well that’s fucked it.

Enjoys tomorrow’s out of hours emergency visit 😹

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 20/03/2019 19:43

I did think that when I posted!

I can't believe it was a year ago that he had his heart scan and, £900+ later, we were told there's nothing wrong with him!

And he's made it!

It’s nice to have it confirmed though isn’t it?

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 20/03/2019 20:53

Definitely. I'll never forget standing at his previous vets while they told me he had heart failure and describing what would most likely happen to him. My Mum had died of heart failure a few months before and I'd had exactly the same explanation from her doctor.

As you can see he doesn't have a care in the world!

And he's made it!

Yay! Long may it continue.
I feel odd going to the vets now as everyone used to know me as I was there so often with old Vinocat. The vets and receptionists are different. That said the nurses are the same and the cattery lady is.

We're going to have bloods done to check his kidneys when he goes for his jabs in June. They probably should have been done in December as it was a year since the last ones but he's been fine in himself and, even if they have got worse, there's nothing we can do as the little sod won't eat renal food!

The readings were back to a normal range in December 2017 and he's been taking his Ipakitine in his food so hopefully he's ok.

There was one point where he seemed to be shaved for one test or another every time he went to the vet!

Long may it continue! Hoping for the same with my gruesome twosome.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/03/2019 10:58

Harry! I thought he was wearing a silly hat in the first photo, but it was the fireplace.

Toddlerteaplease · 21/03/2019 12:19

Ha ha, it does look like a hat

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/03/2019 12:22

Come on, do you really think I'd still be able to type if I put him in a hat?!

He was actually forcing me to watch Wolves -v- Man Utd last week. He was on the end of the recliner pressed against my leg, which was folded inwards so I could hardly walk when he decided to move!
