Matt. It was his name when we got him as a kitten from the rspca and we liked it. Also known as Fat Matt.

Sidney - referred to as "His Highness" by me and "Shitbag" by DH. He was named by the children who had him before us.

Kiwi - because he's an All Black. Yes, it's clever. Thank you.
McVitie - because he was a ginger nut.
Jordon - came with that name.
Asti - short for catastrophe.
Suki - my grandparents' beautiful docile tabby who loved having her belly rubbed. No idea where the name came from.

Never so much as a twitch when we say Sid's name. He has ignoring us down to a fine art.

The other's I think do/did recognise our voices. Kiwi knows my car and will always come out to greet me when I go to my sister's.

Jordon knew his name and would come when called. He was more like a loyal dog than a cat.

Ernie...it took longer to name him than it did the kids

Cheddar & Magic and the much missed Maia. This week they have all been given a middle name; Adeodatus. As I went to a talk about St Augustine and that was the name of his son. I thought it would suit them. And it means gift from god or something similar. Which they are.

I can't Take credit for Cheddar's name unfortunately.

Frasier and Niles: lilac point Siamese brothers that were bought to keep our 12 year old Siamese company when our big soft 9 year old Siamese was killed in a hit and run

She hated them for 4+ months but at least she stopped her "lonely" yowl (So she was happier for the last 2 years of her life )

The boys are well named: Frasier is bigger, more muscular and more rumbustious than Niles, who is slighter, with a finer face and more needy

They were 6 months old when we got them and were called Merry and Pippin at the time which didn't suit them
