Cat rubbing bottom on floor

My cat has just started rubbing her bottom on the floor, as if she would if she had worms. However we regularly give her Broadline, last dose 4 days ago and she went to vets 3 weeks ago and got a clean bill of health. Any suggestions?

My little dog does that sometimes. The vet said it’s when his anal glands need to be cleaned🤢🤮

Oh and I have no idea if that’s a thing cats need😂

FamilyOfAliens · 07/03/2019 22:26

Worms?

"Flop bot" as Mrs Pumphrey calls it. (You need to be a James Herriot fan)

It's either worms, anal glands need to be cleaned or cat's got a bit of poo stuck/too loose to wipe themselves and is trying to get rid of it. Just a while ago, mine had the last option happen and we got some wipes and wiped her backside and she felt better

Yep, mine does this too. It's either she has poop stuck on her which then ends up down the length of her tail 🤮 youd know of it was that though so my bet is on blocked anal glands which my cat also gets and skoots along the floor. Beware if youre in the room when the vet empties them it stinks to high heaven!!!!
