Why does my cat hiss at my mum

Hi all,

My cat is the most soppiest lovable cat ever, but as soon as she sees or hears my mum- she hisses and goes to attack. My mum doesn't often visit (once a month if that).

We don't understand?! She doesn't do that to other people including strangers!

Could she smelling like a cat?

Could she be*

Is that possible? 😀

I mean more of smelling like another cat. Perhaps your mum has one of her own? Cats have good sense of smell and can somehow tell with all the pheromones they release.

I know my cousin's tomcat doesn't particularly like me anymore ever since I got my kitten as I now smell like her to my cousin's tomcat. He used to cuddle up now I'm an enemy!
