A new use for a slow cooker

Misty is not allowed in the Kitchen alone as she will get up on worktops.

I didn't see her for a while yesterday, I thought she had gone out.

Nope she had let herself in to the kitchen and settled down to sleep leaning on the slow cooker (which was on).

She gets away with things like this because she looked so cute

Pics. Pics. Pics. Pleeeeeease.

Does this mean you now have to leave it on 24/7?

sashh · 12/02/2019 11:16

I moved her before I thought of a pic, but here she is in a basket.

Fluffy apparently it has to be on 24/7 24 hours a day. She went off n a huf and was forced to sit on the Sky box which wasn't as warm.

My cat currently squeezes himself into a show box half his size. With difficulty.

“Forced to sit on the sky box” life’s very hard for these cats isn’t it 😹

I wonder when she started going on the work tops.

sashh · 12/02/2019 15:31

Fluffy

I fostered cats for 10 years, I have had several cats of my own, this is the only one I have not been able to train not to go on the worktops.

The kitchen door is kept closed, and has a drop down metal door jamb since she learned she could jump on the handle and dangle and then pry the door open with her nails.

She is the most determined animal I have come across.

And yes being reduced to the sky box is her being hard done to, she often sleeps on the radiator.

In ye olden days when TVs were big, ungainly things one of mine used to spend her evenings laying on top of it. You should have heard the language the first time she tried it after I’d bought a flatscreen TV, jumped up as usual and realised mid-flight there was nothing to land on. My name was mud. 😹

Alexa

One of mine used to sleep on my parents TV, not mine, but she went to my parents for holidays.

That one also used to climb into the engine of my dad's car when he came home and it was warm.
