Best cat you've ever had?

Disclaimer - I love all my cats equally, past and present 😻

Best cat I had was my black and white boy, he came from a shelter and was the ugliest kitten there (really lanky, huge ears and a big snout). I kept veering towards a little tabby but he followed me round and leapt into my arms so I ended up taking him home. He was an absolute doofus, so loving and sweet and everyone fell in love with him, including people who didn't like cats Grin He acted the fool but was actually quite intelligent and a good judge of character (hated my ex husband). He was a bugger for bringing wildlife in but useless at getting rid of beasties in the house.

He's been gone nearly three years now and I still miss him, he was an amazing boy Sad

Harlequin Bogwoppit. He was the most loving and least trouble of all the cats I've ever had.

I loved them all dearly, but I think Harley loved me back the most, iyswim.

What a gorgeous boy, love his fluffy white chest and beautiful eyes.

My first childhood cat was a neurotic black nutter, absolutely thick as shit but so affectionate. When she died at the age of 17 it was the only time I've seen my dad cry.

My sister used to volunteer at the RSPCA cat shelter and took us to see some Persian kittens. ( we weren't looking for another cat at all) on the way down she opened a cage and said look what this cat does. Out walked Chloe and immediately sat on our shoulders. We were smitten. She was a wonderful cat and probably my favourite of our child hood cats.
Even though I absolutely adore Fatty and Snorg. Cheddar really is something else! She's a fabulous little cat.

My Luna. Absolutely round the twist but soft as muck. She's 4 years old now. Pretty sure she thinks she's a real baby, sleeps on her back and likes to be with you at all times.
I still have all the cats I've ever owned, but my first cat just chose my first home to move in and he's been with me since, he's a surly old man now. Luna was the first cat I chose and she's fantastic.
I love my grumpy old man and the little kitten we have too but Luna is special and just mine.

Oh god! It's like choosing your favourite child!
I think our old girl Coco who we had to have PTS in November 2017. We adopted her aged about 6 after her previous human had died. She was the gentlest, loveliest cat who loved being with us. She had so many health problems in her last 2 and a half years but was so good with all the vet visits and treatment.
First photo was in healthier times-she looks quite skinny in the second one.

Loving these, Luna looks like my old boy!

I used to live on a complex with a pool, Rafa used to sidle up to unsuspecting holidaymakers on their sunbeds and purr in their faces Blush His photo even ended up on TripAdvisor Grin

I love them all for different reasons. Selfishly I am especially smitten with my boy kitten as he's my first total lap cat. I was fostering him and his siblings for a rescue and ended up adopting him and his sister. He started out terrified of humans and is still very scared of everyone else but he's really bonded with me. When he was small he used to climb to sit on my shoulder. He spends hours sleeping on me every day and just loves cuddles. He was also a bit "ugly" as a kitten with a long snout and he's black so was overlooked unlike his tabby brothers.

All my others are a bit more independent and only cuddle occasionally.

The Bengal. God knows I could kill him sometimes but he is very affectionate and so clever. He is definitely my cat as well.

Drives me mental though.

Harry. We had gorgeous cats when I was at home but Harry really is my special boy - the first cat I had when I moved out and the best cat we could have asked for.

My beautiful Poppy.

We went to look at her brother as he was big and fluffy, and the lady selling asked us if we'd take his sister too. We did, and she was just the most loving, friendly cat ever. She would jump up at you like a dog, laid with my poorly daughter all day when she was sick and had the most beautiful nature..

Then she was hit by a car when she was just 15 months old and we lost her. I was, and am still, completely heart broken. 😢

We still have her brother and when we lost her he went into a kind of depression as he wasn't used to being alone, so we rescued our big ginger Maine Coon boy Garfield. I love my boys but miss my Pops so much..

My tiny b&w feral kitten who turned into the most affectionate little shadow 💕 despite her size she caught all sorts of trophies for me and had the most adorable 'chirp' to say hello. She died suddenly of a heart attack at 11 and didn't suffer. Heartbroken still. Her tubby, lazy sister is still alive and well, proving that a life spent on pillows and windowsills pays off 😀

Loki, my huge long black panther. He was "MY" very 1st cat, I'd always had cats growing up but he was mine.

Saw him born and he would follow me everywhere and drapped himself round my shoulders like a huge silky scarf. when I had a bath he would sit on my tummy in the water getting all soggy. I had to have 2 showers, one with me holding him (he would jump up), dry him off then he would sit on the loo seat and wait for me to wash all the fur off myself. Bloody nutter.

Lost him at 2 and a half years old from a car accident a while back and still miss his soft furry hugs.

I've had cats all my life and I've loved every single one of them but the best ever is my current cat. He adopted me 8 years ago when I was at the lowest ebb of my life and has given me endless and unswerving love ever since.

He's epic and a floofy beauty Smile

My scrawny little runt of the litter. Awesome cat. Weighed the same as my first child but didn't get any bigger. Worshipped the ground o walked on. "Stood up" to passing dogs and incursive cats - I still miss her - even though we have another lovely and beloved cat now 😢
