Staying with cat at Groomers

Had to find a new groomer as mine has lived out of area. The new one doesn't want me to stay with Snorg. Apparently it makes them more stressed. Hmm I've always stayed with her and she's been very calm. Is this normal practice for groomers?

It is standard practice to not stay with them.
Having said that, does the new groomer come with a recommendation?
I had a bad experience with the “Groom Salon” in a Pets at Home store.

Ah. I tried a new hero sr in the summer who prefers owners to stay. Cat groomers are a bit thin on the ground round here. Her sister freaked out when she was left the first time I ever took them to one. I know that if I'm there she'll be very calm. I'm being PFC about her!

She occasionally needs four jabs to hold her legs or tail out the way!
