I found her in the kitchen licking the sauce from the container. She's going to have the shits isn't she? :(

Hopefully she’ll vomit it up, the onions and garlic are toxic to them. How much has she had?.

themailfail · 08/01/2019 21:20

A couple of her-size mouthfulls at a guess. I'll keep a close eye on her. She seems fine now, but that may change later. She sleeps on my bed so no doubt I'll find out quickly if she reacts.

I'd put a couple of towel on your bed tonight!

rosydreams · 08/01/2019 22:48

mine did the same last night so far hes fine greedy sod lol

ginandtonicformeplease · 08/01/2019 22:54

Mine loves a bit of curry, especially a nice creamy one. She also adores marmite - tries to snaffle my toast while I'm eating it. She much prefers human food to cat food, strange old girl.

Toddlerteaplease · 09/01/2019 06:00

Cheddar is always trying to snaffle my food. She's sulking As I've put her on a wheat free diet and she loves pasta. Magic likes to sit next to me while I'm eating, but has recently started trying to snaffle as well. Cheddar is a bad influence! Magic adores baked beans.

I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on her.

On another note, my cats will fight you for rice, especially if it's been near a curry.

Santababyclaus · 09/01/2019 06:59

I'm sure she'll be fine. My cat always comes sniffing when we have curry or nandos and licks the plate clean if we're not careful. He's still alive with no ill effects.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/01/2019 08:00

An ex's housemate's dog ate vindaloo once. The next morning they awoke to howling. He had the squirts and was trying to cool his bum by dragging it along the grass ... Leaving a giant skid mark.

flameycakes · 09/01/2019 08:10

I'm sure she will be fine, my white cat once got into some left over spaghetti bolognese, ended up with a big red face xxxx

drinkswineoutofamug · 09/01/2019 08:32

@YetAnotherSpartacus that's made me laugh.

themailfail · 11/01/2019 01:49

As an update..we were free of the shits ..woohoo!! She was fine. I usually only have to watch her around pears, which she will fight you for, but will have to be careful around curries now too it seems

Portia loved chicken Tikka, and a bit of chinese takeaway.. and adored pasta in tomato sauce. Basically any human food. It never seemed to upset her stomach when she stole some!

agnurse · 14/01/2019 19:37

Some cats are all about food, others not so much. Our Biggie won't eat human food - not even tuna. (He does like the tuna water.) Gatsby is always on the lookout for food. You could have a peanut butter sandwich and he'd be going, "You has food? I like food! I can has food?"
