Sweetest kitten claimed my bed!

First day with the most incredible little girl - she is 9 weeks old and we thought the safest room to introduce her to was the bedroom. She is so sweet, purrs like a pro and refuses to budge from our bed. She even gave me a lick to clean me I guess. I tried several times to gently move her to her igloo but she won’t have it, and comes right back on the bed. I’m not complaining, she’s magic, but will she ever maybe sleep alone? (I imagine it’s stilly to worry from the first night and I am floored by her trust and tenderness)

You will have to sleep in the igloo Grin

She has the bed. So cute 🥰🥰🥰

ChesterGreySideboard · 04/01/2019 22:57

LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFUL BABY.

Well you can’t move her. That would be a crime.
So sofa, floor or around her really.

Sacrificing your bed is the very least your scrumptious kitten deserves.

AnduinsGirl · 04/01/2019 22:59

She is GORGEOUS! And yes she definitely claimed your bed as her own. I have three who sleep on mine - unfortunately it means I have to contort myself into crazy positions to accommodate them but god they're so cute. I'm so pleased she's so happy and comfortable already, it's a great sign :)

wallpeppering · 04/01/2019 23:00

Thank you! She truly is the loveliest little cat, just a moment ago she fell asleep with her head resting on my arm, actually looking at me as her little eyes were closing. I cannot believe how sweet she is and how lucky I am!

Awww. White kitties are sweet. Remember to protect her little ears from the sun if she grows up to be an outdoor-going cat or a sunbathing indoor one.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 04/01/2019 23:01

but will she ever maybe sleep alone?

Of course she will. It'll be on your bed though. You can sleep in the shed. 😂

boringlyboring · 04/01/2019 23:03

Shes so fluffy❤️

wallpeppering · 04/01/2019 23:04

It would be a good time to invest in a super-king, shame our bedroom is minuscule. I guess it’s the garden shed for me! Hang on, we don’t have a shed...

She is the fluffiest of fluffies. She’s the spitting image of her gorgeous mum (cat of friend) who is also the most chill of cats ever. Truly lucky. Cats are the best Star

All the best for your sweet cats!

She's gorgeous. As a previous poster said, don't forget the sunscreen on the ears.

wallpeppering · 04/01/2019 23:12

Thank you, another friend also warned me as her own old boy has had awful sun damage to his ears, poor little thing...

My "sweet" cat has nicked DH's place in bed. DH is in the spare room. He refuses to move Leroy 'cause he's not been well, been at the vets having tests and has had (in DH's opinion) a "tough day".

This cat worship is one of the reasons DH is DH!!!

Ifeelinclined · 04/01/2019 23:55

Have you named her yet? She's gorgeous

jessstan2 · 04/01/2019 23:59

Lovely! Ours did the same but now they are old, they prefer to stay downstairs, in their beds under the radiator. Bless. Kittens are gorgeous, big cats are too.

I don't understand people not letting their cats in the bedroom. You could put a little blanket on the bed (which they might stay on :-).

One of mine used to get inside the duvet cover and then panic. There would be a little miaouing shape moving about under it until we were able to rescue her.

Hairs get everywhere of course and occasionally they are sick - all part of being mum and dad.

Bless.

PS: to YesitsmeIdon'tcare, my husband is cat mad too. Nothing too much or too good for them. I sometimes think he cares more for them than for me, hee hee. I don't mind except when he is talking soppy to one of the cats and I'm trying to hear the television. I do like the fact he is an animal lover though, it was something that first attracted me to him.

frazzledasarock · 05/01/2019 00:07

Awww yesitsme your dh sounds really lovely.

Our cats get into bed with us too, one likes sleeping on dps head, first he will hold DP’s head between his paws and clean him then he goes to sleep. It’s very funny.

Weezol · 05/01/2019 00:10

Rookie mistake OP. It's not your bed anymore. It's her bed and you have theprivelidge to share it.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 05/01/2019 09:34

She is so so sweet. You have a couch no? I think that will be your bed going forward.

wallpeppering · 05/01/2019 17:51

She’s kindly letting us sleep in our bed too, so far so good 😊
