My beloved fur baby died last week she was only 2 and got knocked by a car. My heart has a paw shaped hole in it. She was my best friend and I miss her so much. I have another cat but She's not cuddly like my cat was. She prefers to bite lol! In a friendly not got many teeth kind of way.
I'd love another kitty to love but am also now worried about the road as Sally died very close to home. I don't know whether to just keep 1 kitty or get another but try and keep it in? That was the plan with the ones we had but both escaped out of the upstairs window in the summer! Argh what would you do?

Honestly OP, wait and see how your other cat deals with being an only cat first. She might become a cuddler - this happened with my mum this year. You can't guarantee that any new cat will be a cuddler either.

Give it a few weeks and see how you feel then.

It's heartbreaking when you lose them, you have my utmost sympathy. 💐

I'm so sorry for your loss Flowers. I lost my dear old cat just before Christmas - not in tragic circumstances, as he was 19 and had just become too ill for it to be fair to keep him going, but it was heartbreaking nonetheless.

I am in two minds about whether to get another cat. My other cat is affectionate and has always been in a two cat household - she wasn't close to the one who died, but I've seen her looking for him around the house. I don't know how she would react to a newcomer, as opposed to a resident cat.

No advice really as I have a similar dilemma but wanted to give you my sympathy.

Can you cat proof your garden?

I was going to wait to see how my remaining cat settled. But the right cat came along a week later. I went to visit her telling my self that I had to be strong and that if she wasn't right for Magic then I'd walk away. But she was and is a perfect fit. Magic visibly relaxed when she was brought into the house and is the boss.

Toddler I live the name magic. Ok a development overnight. We have some issues with our house and have considered moving. So will try and keep getting a new baby until that is resolved.
