Fretting about leaving them

Boy do i need a break ive worked all Christmas. Ive not had much luck with catsitters in the past so for the first time im leaving them with my neighbour coming in twice a day. She likes a drink and her timing may be abit off 🤨. She does love them though —and our collection of strays outside—. Im leaving at 9am so i am going to get up at six to get them to go outside as the neighbour is too nervous to let them out. Ive cleaned and set up three litter trays and should i put extra bowls and dry food out? My lodger will do what she can, if shes in she will let them out. No one will play with them though 😒. Its only five nights I feel bad but the cattery is full and they do sleep alot. They are going to go mad i know it, i feel awful.

They will be absolutely fine, sleeping eating & playing with each other.

However when you come home they will punish you and tell you how cruel you have been, either by crying piteously & clinging to you, or refusing to talk to you.

They won’t go out! Typical they are normally desperate to.
