I am picking up my kitten next week. She won't be going outside until she is about 6 months, but looking at setting her up. Does anyone have any experience of using one of these cat kennels. I am home a lot but there will be times she is outside so I wondered about this rather than a flap, as have I double doors.

I've got that very one and it's great. However you can have flaps put in double glazing and in walls, so having a flap is rarely impossible (although it can be expensive). I don't understand what 'double doors' means.

It means I have a double glazed conservatory, then a double glazed door so two flaps needed to get into the house. Also that would take her straight into the living room which is not ideal. Glad to hear your cat likes the kennel.

My mum and dad have a shelter for their cat. I don't think he's ever used it!

One of our neighbours has one with a felted roof. The cat sits on top of it.

They’ve put a blanket on top now. Makes me smile every time I drive by.

Hi,I've had a few but none as posh as that one and my cats have used it mainly in the rain. You need to woodstain it with a decent protector because the wood rots really easily and you want to get a few years out of it.
