His highness was acting very strangely yesterday. Doing the low yowl kind of miaowing. Ate food, toilet all fine, I put it down to it drizzling and I wouldn't turn the rain off.

Have come home from work today and DH has had a chat with next door neighbour of about 6 months who also has a cat. Since they moved in, his highness has been too shy to go in their garden and gets hissed at enough by (female) cat next door to just stay well away. NDN mentioned that yesterday, she saw his highness outside her cat flap which she thought was strange and then her cat went outside and the two had a full-on scrap. NDN's cat's ear was torn, there is a small chunk missing from the very tip, and she had a visit to the vet today.

NDN was didn't place any blame on his Highness and didn't ask DH to contribute to the vet bill but I'm wondering if we should offer? It's out of character, but very likely that his Highness is responsible for the injury Sad

(Now waiting for him to come back in so I can check him over for bites as I'm sure NDN cat gave as good as she got. Thought the low yowl may be due to injury but he was doing it before he even went out yesterday, so pretty sure it was a moan about the weather)

Don’t offer.
Cats will be cats and they will sort out their territory. It sounds like you have a good relationship with you neighbour so I’d leave It at that x

Hopefully she has pet insurance. Don’t think I would offer because we don’t know who started it!!! Her cat might be an asshole.

Hope both kitties recover.
