I blinking treated myself to a fancy MN tree this year. Thank god it was half price. I’m working So it was my treat to myself. Just me and the cats for Xmas. Little sods couldn’t care less.

Mine isn't interested in the tree now, he was when he was a kitten though.

Leroy is a nutter.
First year we had him we decided a tree was too risky.
Last year we risked it, tied it down, nothing on lower branches, less baubles than normal... little fucker ignored it.
This year? It's going up this weekend so the bastard will probably have it down...

Fatty and Snorg were never bothered but it. I suspect Cheddar will be different!

SushiMonster · 07/12/2018 12:41

@Alfie190 OMG that is adorable

Mine wasn't bothered last year, batted a few baulballs but thats about it

HippyChickMama · 07/12/2018 12:54

For anyone whose cats attack the tree, slice oranges, lemons or limes and hang them on the tree with string or hooks. They don't like the citrus smell apparently, it worked for us when we had a kitten anyway.

Mine used to get really excited (tree knocked over, that sort of thing) & I'd often hear the sound of the little bells on the bedroom tree (4 foot plastic so not exactly suitable as main downstairs tree) tinkling away. Now they can't be arsed. I spend ages sticking little suitable baubles on it and for what? So they can ignore it! I may not bother this time....

I just need Leroy to lose all interest in wrapping presents now... 🙄.

Mine have been sleeping under it

I don't do Christmas anyway but I wouldn't even dare
Ollie favourite toys are ribbon and balls. Ribbon loosely translates to also include shoelaces, wires, those ribbons inside tops for hanging them, basically anything that dangles gets killed Grin
